It said I was 56% American. No questions about where I was born or anything, just what I thought about guns, what kind of cheese I like and what kind of sports I watch!

22. Took me a while... but here's how you get to 100% |
|
FWIW... I scored 49%.
1. How do you feel about guns?
Guns should be legal - it's each person's right to protect themselves Guns should be outlawed as much as possible Guns are a huge problem in the US and make it incredibly dangerous
2. "X, Y, ..."
Z as in "Zed" Z as in "Zee"
3. You would rather eat...
Something at the Olive Garden, Applebee's, or Red Lobster A gourmet French meal of escargot (snails) and tete de veau (cow's head) A home cooked meal of pasta and meatballs
4. Canadians are:
Much more advanced than Americans when it comes to social issues Nice people who play hockey and put up with way too much cold weather Americans - at least, any of the good ones become Americans
5. When you drink beer, it's:
Dark and with flavor You don't drink beer, you prefer wine Light colored and American, baby!
6. Joining the American military could best be described as:
Heroic Desperate Dumb
7. How do you get around?
In a new (less than 5 year old) car By foot or public transportation In an old car
8. What kind of cheese do you prefer?
Bleu cheese American cheese... duh! Brie

Always In major elections Hardly ever or never
10. How many American states begin with W?

13. Your sports watching habits can best be described as:
Nascar and wrestling Football and baseball Women's basketball and soccer
14. How do you feel about the war in Iraq?
It might have been a mistake but we should finish the job We should be bombing the hell out of North Korea and Iran too It's disgusting and embarrassing
15. And flag burning?
It's un-American, but probably protected under freedom of speech It should be banned in a Constitutional amendment Sometimes it's necessary to make a point
16. How do you feel when you hear "I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free" sung?
You feel patriotic, even if the song's a bit cheesy You can't wait for it to be over You never hear that song!
17. Do you own an American flag?
You might own a sticker or pin or something Nope You do - and you even fly it on holidays
18. The United Nations:
Should be something the US listens to more often Should be listened to most cases Is a scam - and the US should kick 'em to the curb
19. What do you like best about America?

9. Reminds me of a joke i heard a couple years back- |
|
Two Iraqi men enter the US with their families and decide to become citizens. After being sworn in, taking the oath or whathaveyou- they decide to meet again after a year of citizenship and see which one of them is "more American".
So the next year they get together for coffee at a Starbucks and one asks the other- "So, tell me about your life here. How American are you?" The other answers "Well, I've gotten a promotion at the company to executive vice-president, we moved into a little cul-du-sac in Westport, After my work-outs at Gold's Gym I pick up the kids from daycare- we had a second child last March- imagine- BORN in America- great, huh?, Anyways, my wife takes care of our home and she has quite the garden going on in our backyard- it has an apple tree and she makes pie from them- Apple pie! how American is THAT!- but enough about me... how American are you, now?
The first one looks the second right in the eyes with a growing look of disdain and suddenly slams his fist on the table, spilling both coffees and scream- "FUCKIN' RAG-HEAD!"

America: You don't love it or want to leave it. But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over. On the 4th of July, you'll fly a freak flag instead... And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch!

21. 46% - despite never having been there |
|
Indeed no great plans to go there either (it's on the list - just way down behind Italy a few thousand more times, the rest of Europe which I haven't yet seen, a large portion of Asia &c.&c.&c.).
I would have been less so - but some of the questions had no answers even vaguely close to me (e.g., sport had no mention of rugby or cricket - the only sports worth contemplating - England 444, Australia 52-0).
Never mind - better luck next time I suppose.
