1. The video for "Black Hole Sun"...
...has been forever seared into my memory. It was so creepy yet undeniably intriguing. The song rocks too!

4. Around the time I finally decided my first marriage was over
I spent an entire Friday night sitting along in my 'bachelorette pad' drinking wine and listening to 'Black Hole Sun' over and over. For such a dark song, it's really soothing at a moment like that.

7. Hungry
That was Temple of the Dog, a Seattle band formed after the OD of Mother Love Bone singer Andrew something-or-other.

6. Had to vote "other" :

"Hands All Over", off of Louder than Love (with "Black Days" coming in right behind it (and, of course, an honorable mention to "Big Dumb Sex" for having one of the more, *ahem*, "memorable" choruses ever written ;-) )).

11. Rusty Cage
And the Johnny Cash cover was great too!

You wired me awake
And hit me with a hand of broken nails
You tied my lead and pulled my chain
To watch my blood begin to boil

But I'm gonna break
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Too cold to start a fire
I'm burning diesel burning dinosaur bones
I'll take the river down to still water
And ride a pack of dogs

I'm gonna break
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Hits like a Phillips head into my brain
It's gonna be too dark to sleep again
Cutting my teeth on bars and rusty chains
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

When the forest burns along the road
Like God's eyes in my headlights
When the dogs are looking for their bones
And it's raining icepicks on your steel shore

I'm gonna break
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Can't remember the name of the song, but it's on the first side of Badmotorfinger.

I have the Black Hole Sun video on my HDD--it's really creepy.

But not quite as creepy as the Steve and Eydie version of the song!

on edit: I actually voted for "The Day I Tried to Live" because it's an equal to Black Hole Sun, and nobody else has voted for it yet...

(and I prefer the lyrics...not sure why)

I woke the same as any other day
Except a voice was in my head
It said seize the day, pull the trigger, drop the blade
And watch the rolling heads

The day I tried to live
I stole a thousand beggar's change
And gave it to the rich
The day I tried to win
I dangled from the power lines
And let the martyrs stretch
Singing

One more time around
Might do it
One more time around
Might make it
One more time around
Might do it
One more time around
The day I tried to live

Words you say never seem
To live up to the ones
Inside your head
The lives we make
Never seem to ever get us anywhere
But dead

The day I tried to live
I wallowed in the blood and mud with
All the other pigs

I woke the same as any other day you know
I should have stayed in bed

The day I tried to live
I wallowed in the blood and mud with
All the other pigs

And I learned that I was a liar
Just like you
