I will be getting my kitty tomorrow or Sunday
Remember this cutie?

Met him last weekend and he's beautiful, though a little shy. The foster said once he realized he was in a one-animal home he would relax and be friendly. As the foster has five cats and a St. Bernard in her house, my kitty-to-be was a little skittish, though he let me hold and brush him.

I will be picking him up this weekend. Gotta get the necessary cat stuff (litter box, cat tree, food dish, etc) but there's a PetCo six blocks from my house.

I am so psyched!:bounce:

10. Yes, if you put the word "kitty," "cat" or "feline" in the thread title...
you will have an elite force of DU cat caretakers responding to it within seconds (this thread case in point).

3. What a lucky kitty
You'll have him spoiled rotten in no time. My cat Lily is very timid, but she's also very loving and affectionate with me. It's also easier to keep a scaredy cat from running away.

8. What a lucky kitty-owner to be adopted by such a lovely kitty
Cats adopt us, we are just mere mortals who hope that we are selected!

4. Have you decided on a name?
What one were you thinking of... Rumpel? Or are you going to keep Poppy?

12. Apparently he's been called Poppy
for quite a while. I may rename him Rumpole but if he likes Poppy better, Poppy he shall be.

6. MIght I recommend Royal Canin cat food for your pet
It's great for my pair and since they are totally indoor they use the Indoor variety which helps with their fur, teeth and keeping them free of hairballs

13. I've heard good things about Natural Balance
cat foods too, and they are readily available near my house.
