6. bad translation
with words taken out of context...in this context arriba would be equivalent to, "let's go!"...or closer...get up boys...let's get going...also marinero is not marine...but more closely mariner...or sailor in the venacular...pa mi pa ti...translate for me for you...

7. Yes, I know. I speak the language. I just meant that I liked Babel Fish
better for the humor. The translations their are hilarious.

8. sorry
bad translations for me are just annoying...babel fish kinda reminds me of the mocking way people used to point out the innacuracies of japanese translations...i lived there for awhile and i just thought it was pointless...an american vulgarity....

i do have a sense of humor...somewhereO8)

9. I should have used an smiley to convey my sense of humor about it,
so you would know I was joking. Personally I love bad translations, as I'm often guilty of them. I can get by in seven different languages, but I'm only fluent in three (almost four.) I'm often made fun in other countries due to my poor choice of words -- children really crack up over it. I always get a laugh when they explain the error of what I've said. Heck, I just find language funny, anyway. It's amazing how much ground you can cover with gestures and smiles. :)

10. well at least you're trying!
there are some people today who would like to do away with the study and use of other languages altogether...i guess language can be funny...and a smile and certain gestures are universal...but language is a powerful thing...words and their meanings are as powerful as any force on this earth...they can convey not just schtick...but the nuances that move us emotionally and intellectually...and that is what i prefer as a musician and a writer and a talker too...

5. Loco el Calor

Corriendo por la carretera tropical
me ha hecho mal el calor,
me vuelvo loco pero muy a mi manera
quizás me alcance aquí la puesta del sol

Pues vuelto a gozar yo quiero renunciar
mandar al diablo al patrón.
Ya no me quejo, me conformo la verdad,
me estas friendo porque el calor esta genial

Vuelto loco ¡vieja! vuelto loco.. ¡¡¡el calor!!!

Bailamos locamente y en el muelle anoche
y me caí al agua ¡Oh no!
Al policía no le hizo gracia alguna
dijo: "Cuidado con la hija del alcalde"

No me quieras frenar y menos para allá,
es lo que digo y quien
entregate al ritmo, difícil es parar
tu sonríes porque el calor está genial

Vuelto loco ¡vieja! vuelto loco.. ¡¡¡el calor!!!

Vamos todos!!!
Vuelto loco vuelto loco el calor!!!
