Someone please come over and taste this for me |
|
Got an old casserole dish out of the freezer; my husband made a curry who knows how long ago and stuck it in the freezer. I don't like it and don't want to try it to see if it's still good. I need to see if it's fit to serve to his cousins who are coming tonight. Please help!

I sure wouldn't feed it to company. Even if it doesn't make anyone sick, it won't be good enough to feed to guests.
If you're stuck on what to cook, buy some steaks or chicken and fire up the barbecue.

6. They're Pakistani - they'll want Pakistani food |
|
And they know I don't cook very much of it. They're in the process of moving from Houston to Kansas City and have a bunch of food that they cooked to eat when they get to their new home, so they'll probably eat that. I have a place I can run to get some food. They won't be here for another 3-4 hours.
Plus we don't have a grill and need to buy one!

Much as I would love to come over and taste a "who knows how old it is" curry, I don't think I can make it. I think it sounds as if you might need to fix something fresh?

7. Hm, how long has it been since ya'll moved? |
|
Only a few months right? Unless you actually moved the dish with you I find it hard to believe it'd go off in under a few months. Of course I'll eat anything that isn't actually moldy (excepting cheese, which I *will* eat when it's moldy) so I dunno

I just got here in May.
I defrosted it and can smell some freezer burn even after 30 minutes of defrosting (ha - I typed "defristing"). Think I'll wait to see what they have; I can always run to the tea shop and get something.
