Need some opinions...
I'm finally going to get a tattoo (after several years of putting it off) and I have narrowed it down to a few different designs. I was wondering if you guys could look at them and say which you like best...Its gonna be on my body forever, so I don't want it to be something I am embarrassed of!

PS. I have already decided to get the tattoo...so no responses that say "you know its permanent, right?" - Yes...i do.

Ok here goes.

The first two are my favorites so far, but I also really like the rest. Any input would be appreciated.

Also, if you want, post a pic of your tat...I like to see different tats and the meanings behind them!

1. Where are you getting it?
Shoulder? Forehead? Derriere?

I like the second one...

6. I like the second one also.
The butterfly is nice too, but more conventional.

3. I think butterfly might work best.
You'll probably only have to have it redone once. It's somewhat tasteful, as tattoos go. Whereas bright colors have to be redone all the time... especially if you're out in the sun with them.

I have a small tatoo on my shoulder blade on my back. It is a dainty little flower. I got it when I was 18, almost 10 years ago. I do not regret it either. They don't hurt nearly as bad as people say. In fact, they can be addictive!

7. I have heard various thoughts on that...
Some say it hurts like hell, others say not very much at all. Frankly, mine isn't going to be huge, so I'm not too worried. And i have heard they are addictive as well...Piercings certainly are, I can attest to that...As long as i keep them small, I can get several over the years. I'm in school to be a physician assistant, so i am sure i can't get sleeved or anything...haha. But a couple little ones in discreet places should be fine :)

won't really get to enjoy the experience (so to speak). My friends and I all did it together. Kind of a rite of passage. It was our first trip w/o parents or any supervision since we all turned 18. Mine reminds me of that first taste of freedom. It was awesome!

9. if you were getting it in the middle of the back...
the second one, but on the shoulder, I also like the butterfly. Don't worry about it hurting, I have four, it's not that bad. You'll look great!

11. Definitely prefer #1
Something about the visual contradiction~

Of course, the tat I always wanted was a cute little, light brown teddy bear holding a cute little, light pink heart... with a bite taken out of it, and a little dribble of blood from his cute little, bright red mouth.

So take the opinion for what it's worth.

12. Old lady here..
Please resist the temptation to put it somewhere that all can see it.. Talk to an older person with tattoos..see if they still love them after they get blurry and saggy (along with the skin they are on)..

It really hurts and costs a lot to have them removed..and the way you think today (assuming you are a young 'un) is not the way you might think as you grow up..

15. As your asking for opinions from a choice I vote for the second.
I like the slight abstraction in it.

That said - I'm no fan of them, but if it's what you want then have fun.

16. I like the star with the swirl inside personally...however...
This is YOUR tattoo, so what I like best should be irrelevant. I really yhink the star with the swirl is neat though, haha.

I don't have any tattoos right now, but I plan to get the two elephants from Salvador Dali's "Elephants" on each of my triceps, once I have money to spare.
