. . . and now a Red Wasp Sting!
OK, I keep telling myself that if I just hang in there things will get better . . . I'm hanging by my fingernails here folks!

You may recall, in the last episode that I had an ear infection which required that my wife take me to the emergency room which we can't pay for because we are dead broke with foreclosure being imminent on our home and 20 acres here in the country. . .

I started back to work the other day - which is good, because I don't get sick days and have no benefits, so I needed to be working. Then my other ear started with this infection thing. Since I had antibiotic and hydrodone from the other day, I am getting through ok . . .

So, this afternoon my wife and I go outside to se the eggplants that are growing on the plants I thought had died due to the weather, when ZAP!
I get popped on the shoulder ( base of the neck really) by a damn red wasp (polistes carolina - I am on a first name basis with theses things!)). Every time one of those suckers has gotten me in the past it has been baaaad news. It then stung Mel on the elbow and started buzzing her hair. We ran back in and I immediately took 2 benedryl, have swabbed it good with vinegar and a paste of baking soda.

It has been, all in all, a shitty week.

Somebody, make it be over!!!!

2. Man that suxs.
I hear that applying a paste made of meat tenderizer and a little water or solution of bicarbonate soda and water might help.

4. I can't change what happened,
but I can give you this:

Right now, in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are having a wonderful summer day. As anyone who has visited here will tell you, a warm summer day in the Bay Area is remarkable. Not just pleasant to be out in, but everything that is beautiful and happy looks and feels more so. It's a perfect 72 degrees.

Some friends of mine are going to Guerneville this weekend. It promises to be hot there. They're going hiking, exploring, taking photos, and simply getting away.

The bay is a teal color; I'd say opalescent because the color shifts to greens, blues, white, cream, and takes on the hues of Mount Tamalpais. I wish you could be here to view it. Sailboats are dotting the bay. I wish you could breathe in the salty, sharp air.
