What Causes My Pants To Shrink On The Hanger Or While On The Closet Shelf? |
|
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 10:00 AM by arwalden
And why are clothing manufacturers making size 36 smaller than they did last year?
I don't understand.

When pants are taken for a 3 mile walk a few times a month they quit sulking and stretch out.

shrinking his jeans in the washer. He just moved up into 36...and he's already saying I'm shrinking them. Sigh...
...women suffer much the same problem, only we get away with blaming it on the "bloat". ;) :hi:

Remember when the standard size for coffee in cans was 16 oz, and in bags was 12? Now they've shaved the cans down to 11 oz and the bags are down to 9 oz. for some brands. The clothing manufacturers are obviously jumping on the bandwagon, and those men's sizes that used to mean something immutable like measurement in inches are now just arbitrary size categories like women's clothing sizes.
As for the shrinkage on the hanger, clothes that aren't worn frequently shrivel up in shame.
That's my story and I sticking to it.:hi:

I've been sneaking into your place and replacing your clothes with smaller sizes. I've also taken care to sew size 36 labels into the smaller sized clothes.
But since you caught onto my little practical joke, I promise I wont do that anymore.
Starting tomorrow, you get shorter.

Especially on high heat. If they are new and you hadn't tried them on beforehand, perhaps they are made by the same comapny that makes are uniform pants at work, which are allegedly the same size but fit different every day.
