If I told U that God spoke to me & told me to do things, what would U do?
Just curious.

A lot of the American public is tolerant and even supportive of the things God is telling Bush to do. (once his rating gets down to 20%, then I'll reconsider my opinion of the American people who support this fraudulent travesty. Until then, I won't say what I think because it's downright mean and elitist.)

Does God tell Bush what to do?

God told this insane psycho what to do: http://www.8bm.com/diatribes/volume01/diatribes014/diatribes271-291/diatribes277.htm

1. I ask you to prove it...
and judge you by your actions, not whether or not you have "divine guidance."

3. Yeah, but YOU think!
That's the difference. :D To think is divine, but to claim divine guidance is demonic.

2. You brought up something I just thought of
When will Bush start talking about God? His poll numbers are a little low.

I am assuming Karl Rove will throw something into the fray.

6. There's a legal term for committing a crime because God told you to.
The term is "diefic decree." I heard this on a local news program with regard to Gary Ridgeway and the ritualistic way he murdered his victims leaving fish on their bodies, etc. The reporter was saying that his lawyers might have been able to help him avoid the death penalty using this defense.

You know, atheists and agnostics are at a disadvantage when it comes to misbehavior (like taking multiple wives) because we can't say that God told us to do something. Being an agnostic, I have to take full and absolute responsibility for everything I do and I don't expect any salvation or forgiveness.

7. As a psych student...
I would refer you to a really great psychologist (not psychiatrist, they are into meds, not finding the root of the problem), and then I'd hope you'd get help or get committed.

8. Psychologists have problems with some religions patients
Particularly religions which include forms of communing with god. Patients hearing voices are particularly problematic. The truth is there are numerous ways to make the mind enter a state where it no longer recognises itself and believes the internal conversations are actually voices from elsewhere. Of course it applies any culturally learned explanations for these voices. Being an objective experience the person experiencing this event cannot be talked out of their belief under normal circumstances.

13. well here's what matthew says about it
“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. So then, you will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:15-18, 20

If the fruits of a man's conferences with "God" are war and disaster, then I can confidently say based on Biblical authority that the man is a false prophet. In the case of the Whistleass we just might have hit the jackpot and have found ourselves a nasty little Anti-Christ.

If you in particular told me that you were acting on God's orders, I would again observe your actions and make up my own mind about the matter.
