Remember the guitar licks on the Yardbirds Heart Full of Soul?
Edited on Sun Aug-14-05 02:27 AM by Swede
Heart Full Of Soul (Graham Gouldman)

Sick at heart and lonely,
deep in dark despair.
Thinking one thought only
where is she tell me where.
And if she says to you
she don't love me
just give her my message
tell her of my plea

And I know if she had me back again
well I would never make her sad.
I've gotta heart full of soul.

She's been gone such a long time
longer than I can bear
but if she says she wants me
tell her that I'll be there
And if she says to you
she don't love me
just give her my message
tell her of my plea.

1. I've only heard the version by The Yardbirds
And, yes, I remember all of the guitar licks.

4. Here they are.
Jeff Beck. Jimmy Page. But I can't remember who the other ones are.

6. Keith Relf was the singer, John Paul Jones was on bass
Page and Beck were only there together for one song, the incredible Happenings Ten Years Time Ago (with the guitar car crash). Available on Roger the Engineer (but added much later...it was only a single for a long time).

7. Just heard Rush (Geddy & Alex anyway) doing this acoustically on XM
..they also recorded it on their last album (which was all covers)

Damn good album. Although it's a total departure from what you expect to hear from Rush.

8. To be honest, I like the Rush version better.
I thought it fit the spirit of the lyrics well.
