Royal baby "stable" after premature birth: palace (UK)
Well, this ought to take the Charles out of the frying pan for a moment... cough...

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20031109/wl_uk_afp/britain_royal_baby_031109155326

The wife of Prince Edward, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth II, gave birth to a daughter on overnight after an emergency Caesarian operation, Buckingham Palace announced on Sunday.

The baby girl weighed four pounds nine ounces (2.1 kilograms) and was several weeks premature, the palace said, adding that mother Sophie Rhys-Jones, countess of Wessex, and her daughter were both "stable."

5. I always like Edward best..Good luck to them
He never seemed to care what people thought of him.. He wanted to do theatre, and he did it.. I think he bugged out of the obligatory military service too.

7. He left the Royal Marines under a , er, cloud after being
assessed as incompatible with the rigorous standards expected in training for that field of service. His theatrical foray was panned by the British public and his financial backers. Likewise his attempts at TV and film. His film co Ardent has repeatedly made serious losses and its pinnacle was when it was busted by the UK press last year as snooping on Prince Wiliam's university lodgings in St Andrews, Scotland and accused by Prince Charles of violating his son's privacy with a series of tittle-tattle exposes of his alleged female friends and drinking companions.

6. Why would they give up the title of HRH for their kid?
And have her only referred to as "Lady so and so"? Aren't there advantages to HRH, and why was it such a big deal when Diana and Sarah were both stripped of their titles after their divorces? Just curious.
