lightening your hair a couple of shades and then steaking it with blonde highlights. That will really help to hide the gray.

By the way, you're one fine looking 48 year old. Hubba hubba. :loveya:

3. What I would suggest
Your hair color is close to mine. What I used to do was use a "hair lightening" product that worked like the sun-it would just get a little lighter each time I shampooed. That way I could decide when I became as blonde as I liked. I did note that it dried out my scalp, which for me was a good thing, as I have very oily hair. But if you have a dry scalp, you might want to know about it.

Now that I'm older, I find I'm not "going grey" but rather my hair is going yellowish white-I'm calling it "going blonde naturally".

4. Yes, via highlights.
Not an all over the head lightening unless you want to be a platinum blond.

With highlighting you can be as subtle or as bold as you want to be.You've got a really great base color to start with.

11. You can do that.
Or you can tint it back to a shade close to your own.

Are you going to do it yourself?

the highlights built right in. Amazing, but true. Clairol makes one that's one step. I've used it. It's great. Cannot tell you the name right now. It's Herbal something or other. L'Oreal makes one that's two steps. I haven't tried that one. Why do two steps when you can do the same and look more natural with one step.

16. The best tip I can give you is to have a professional do it.
There are things that aren't talked about on over the counter packages. The heat from your scalp can and will cause the root area to take faster than the shaft if you apply it all over at once. With a tint this may be minimized but with a bleach it will not. There are bleaches for off the scalp and ones that okay for use on the scalp. For a true platinum white blond you will need to tone your lightened hair or it will have that cooked spaghetti yellow color.

Clorox?

15. No No No
If you want to color your hair to hide the grey, get a permanent hair color one shade lighter than your natural hair color (because they are usually a shade darker than it shows on the box). It will look more natural and I think you look better with the color you have rather than going blond.
