Lucille Ball tops list of popular dead stars.
Right behind Lucy are Bob Hope, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Red Skelten.

I "liked" Lucy, but I would have thought someone else would have been the most popular. But, since there are so many categories that "stars" can fall into, it would be a hard choice. Who would be my favorite in drama, comedy, action, suspense, or TV? All categories would have a different answer.

1. If I had my way Lucy would stay #1 for a long time.

2. I know that most people really
loved her, but I guess I was never really into the "slap stick" type of comedy. I will say that one of the funniest movies I've ever seen is "The Long Long Trailer" with Lucy and Desi. I'm not that into TV and most of my favorites were in movies in the 40's.

4. But then again I also love Abbot & Costello
Laural & Hardy, the Little rascals. I guess I'm just weird.

6. I'm guessing that the reason
she is so popular is simply the fact that in 50+ years, her show has ALWAYS been on the air.

5. She wanted "All in the Family" cancelled because of the gay episode...
She nearly got her way too.

A genius at comedy and progressive in some ways.

But not others.

9. There will never be another Lucy!
It will be a sad day when I hear some kid say: "Lucy who?"

11. I find it hard to believe that Cary Grant isn't on the list

And that he was beat out by John Ritter, Michael Landon and Charles Schultz.
