We visited a local zoo today. Because I walk with a cane, I need a little more space to get around than many people do...inconsiderate adults with their kids's strollers running into me and my stick... :grr:

I went to The Bite (an outdoor festival) Friday night and saw the Decembrists and the Violent Femmes...
I swear most of the night I could have lifted my legs and let the sheer ebb and flow of the crowd carry me anywhere like flotsam...

They've been here for awhile but I had never checked them out before...
I've even heard them on AAR lately...
And the best summer of my life I spent was in 1979 but I was in Eugene!
