1. Until you walk a mile in another man's moccasins
you can't imagine the smell.

6. I've _never_ heard a Native American
use that phrase, "Walk a mile in another's moccasins," but I've seen it on lots of kitchy, rip-off, copycat Indian-esque posters and greeting cards.

15. I've heard Native Americans
say this. Elders, before all the kitsch, before all the Indian wannabes.

9. assuming its an 'old' native american saying...
how would an old native american know what a mile is, (assuming 'old' means pre - european colonization)?

16. Waaaay too much
and it's starting to scare me. I just have this feeling that what's happening down in Crawford is going to end up very, very ugly, and I'm sick over it..

19. I support her too
But there seems to be alot of people that want an all-out rumble over this, and that her message is going to be lost in the ugliness seems inevitable, and that's what makes me sick.

It's like a runaway train now, and I'm really, really hoping that the original message she's trying to get out rises above the white noise, because that message needs to be heard..

20. I know....
I think it is either gonna go from scuffle to death....

Or the Bush team will figure out someway to defuse the situation with their decided skill at propoganda...

And if that happens, there is so much being put on CS, that it could completely destroy the budding peace movement....

That is my fear....
