Hot Chocolate w/ Unsweetened Baking Chocolate Squares? |

I'm in search of a recipe to make hot chocolate using unsweetened baking chocolate squares. I assume there's some combination of milk, sugar, and unsweetened baking chocolate squares that'll do the trick.
Anybody got a pointer to a good (and hopefully simple) recipe? Thanks.

Break off 3 or 4 times what the package says you need, a bunch.
Put it in a saucepan, add a little half and half, turn on the fire.
Stand there and stir it, when it gets almost melted, dump in some sugar, some ground red chile, if you have it, if not, you can use cayenne pepper.
Put in a little cinnamon, fill pot with half and half until it is the color you like, taste it, add more stuff as needed, stir constantly, take it off the fire right when it looks like it is getting tuned up to boil.
edit to change it to Luker, it's actual name, not Luger, which is my nickname for it :)

Cultural things aren't so bad. Take potato salad, for instance.
This is the way chocolate was made for thousands of years by people who had written language long before there was a Rome.
Except they used water and not milk.

White Hot Chocolate
Ingredients: 3 C. Half and Half Cream, divided 1/2 C. Vanilla Baking Chips 1 Cinnamon Stick 1/8 tsp. Ground Nutmeg 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract 1/4 tsp. Almond Extract Ground Cinnamon, Optional
Preparation: In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup cream, vanilla chips, cinnamon stick and nutmeg. Stir over low heat until chips are melted; discard cinnamon stick. Add remaining cream; stir until heated through. Remove from the heat; add extracts. Sprinkle each serving with ground cinnamon if you like.

just experiment! cooking it all up in a double boiler would prevent scorching the chocolate, but you can actually just nuke the chocolate to get it all melted, with or without yer hot milk. then stir it into yer milk, add a teeny sprinkle of salt, and stir in sugar to taste. make it as dark or light as you prefer.

I don't know what to do with it except to make hot chocolate. It was on sale. Sometimes I'm weird that way. Last time was when I bought a couple cans of pumpkin at 9 cents each. It was 9 cents, you know? How can you resist? Until you realize that you have no clue what to use it for because you're hopeless in the kitchen. :-)

of warm Aztec chocolate.
The drink is made with no sugar or dairy whatsoever.
Instead, the organic choclate is mixed with warm water and spices, and then sweetened just a skosh with warm agave juice.
When I got my cup in the muted moonlight, I took a big mouthful and just held the warm, chocolatey, spicey drink in my mouth for 20 seconds or more. It was so good. So totally good !
Later that night, I got to try a piece of chocolate cake made in the same way. That was just toooo good for words. And mind you, I am not a chocoholic. Or, at least I wasn't.

Not bad. A little too sweet, and I blew the lid off the container top in the microwave, causing some of the chocolatey goodness to slosh around inside, but not bad.
I've got lots more baking chocolate squares to go. (It was on sale, remember.) So I should be able to perfectly calibrate the ratios and avoid the thermal expansion problems with my first attempt.
