It'll be a very long time before you ever have to shop for a bra.

2. Oh geesh don't remind me |

I can never find a good bra. They usually only have ONE in my size and I have to go through every one there to find one. I was up to three good ones, but two of them are always missing; my boyfriend has a bad habit of hiding my laundry, unintentionally, but still.

10. no, but we have to accompany our wives and SOs to do it... |
|
being an equal partner in marriage means you have to buy the tampons and go bra shopping....
but I think where you guys really have us outsuffered is breast exams. from my wife's description, its essentially like turning your breast into a sideways pancake.
My only close thing is the examination of my testicles when I had testicular cancer from an ....overly aggressive specialist. I was climbing the walls and gripping the gurney.

men's sizes are much easier to figure out, when you're buying for someone else. We still have to bra shop, but now our choices have to be perfect, and we can't even try them on first.

16. Men don't get off quite so easily |
|
I recently had to take my daughter to buy her first bra, which was one of the most profoundly disturbing experiences of my life. When my cute, adorable 11 year old baby started talking about needing a "thicker one" because her "cold nipples get pointy when it gets cold", I just wanted to pull my hair out and run from the store screaming.
My wifes comment? "Heh, wait until you have to buy her tampons."

20. well I hope you did a better job than my father.... |
|
For some unknown reason, my mom couldn't take me to buy my first bra so she had my father do it. He takes me to Sears, tells me he'll be in the tools department and to get him when I was done shopping. His face was red with embarrassment.
This was well before there was a "softer side to Sears" and no one was working in that area to help me. Did my bra fit? Not at all. The whole experience totally sucked.

21. Yes, I did a lot better than that. |
|
I walked the fine line between being embarrassed and looking like a pervert going through preteen lingerie, and walked out of the store with a little girl proud of the four well-fitting bra's she had purchased. I've been married long enough to know what makes a bra fit well, and what is uncomfortable, so I basically showed her the sizes and types she should pick out and left the "style" up to her. I also got incredibly lucky when the young lady working that department (she wasn't more than 19) took pity on me and volunteered to help her out in the changing room.
Oh, and the reason I took her was quite simple: My wife is very opposed to gender stereotypes and said that "there isn't one valid reason why men shouldn't be able to do it". I couldn't disagree with that argument, but it still seemed so...wrong.

I forgot you don't measure bra size by circumference. You measure the rib cage underneath. Then the difference between rib cage and circumference is the cup size. Somebody had to point that out to me again a few years ago. I'd forgotten all of that. :silly:

22. But males carry the genes for the third generation... |

I have two daughters, I know about this. I am starting to hate teenage guys!!
When I last got measured I was 48" without the additional "feminine charms". You could blame me for what they inherit, but what about my mom?
Mom-son-granddaughters...
The jock strap comments are appropriate. Guys just need a lot more space when it is 100 out and humid!

To you maybe it's an 'annoying irritation' but a good many of the men I know, including all four of my brothers, would likely find it so fascinating you'd have to yank them out of the lingerie department with a crowbar.
