How Many Bush Administration Officials Does It Take to Change a Light Bulb
The Answer is TEN...

1. One to deny the light bulb is burned out;

2. One to attack the patriotism of anyone who says that the light bulb needs to be changed;

3. One to blame Clinton for burning out the light bulb;

4. One to declare to the nations of the world that they are either for changing the light bulb or for eternal darkness;

5. One to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton for the new light bulb;

6. One to arrange a photograph of Bush dressed as a janitor, standing on a step ladder under a banner "Bulb Accomplished";

7. One Administration Insider to resign and reveal, in detail, how Bush was literally "in the dark" the whole time;

8. One to viciously smear #7;

9. One to disseminate talking points that George Bush has had a strong light bulb changing policy all along, because he had never made a mistake in his Presidency;

10. And finally, one to go on Meet The Press and explain that there was never a light bulb needed changing in the entire history of the glorious Bush Administration, and only freedom hating democratic liberals spreading lies say differently.

3. good one... don't forget.
don't forget, they also outsourced the changing of the bulb to a Chinese company, who employed 12 people at $1 apiece to change the bulb.

4. Excellent post ElectroPrincess
It was very "crushing".

And outside the WH the rednecks will debate:

Lite Bulb?

Lights better!

Less filling!

Great taste!

7. Thanks all ...
This is why "our fathers' conservatives" are slowly BUT surely beginning to WTFU. Why? They may be stingy but they're for both SMALL and big business. Plus, like my family, tend toward the secular vice bat-shit-crazy fundy side.

With no results, the same-O same-O propaganda formula is quickly becoming an inane and stale chorus ... well, to all but the kool-aide drinkers and many within our investor class.

All we need for a full belly-laugh is for "Bagdad Bob" (played by Frank Luntz) to *constantly* appear on the tube and SPEW even more bizarro statements ad nauseum. <eg>

Bring in the clowns! <eg>

8. Listen, we have a light bulb CRISIS in this country.
We need to form a committee to investigate the possibility that a solution to this light bulb crisis can be found sometime in the future.

Fucking activist light bulbs.
