Who controls the Cable companies? |
|
If you are having lousy service from your cable internet provider, who can you complain to? I have already complained to the company, but since they have exclusive territory, they just don't care! I don't want to move to DSL (which is my only other option) because I've heard bad things about consistent service with them too.
I'm sooo disgusted with my HS internet service, I've resorted to keeping a damn log of when it went out and when it came back on. For $50/month, this is total BS! I haven't had ONE week without an outage in over a year, and the last 4 days it's been out for more than 24 hours in 6 different occasions.

2. Sowho do we complain to? If congress won't OK competition, |
|
they will never have to care about their customer! They've got a captive audience!!!
Maybe we should contact out Reps. They're all up for election next year, so just maybe they'll care.

5. HOw often do you have outages? |
|
I just spoke to Bell South about their DSL service. Of course they said they are almost NEVER! The one thing I did like about their service is that if the HS internet service is down, they provide a phone number for free dial up service.
I don't want to jump from the frying pan into the fire here. It's going to be a real PIA to changed my email on all those damn web sites, and I sure don't want to be making a mistake!!!!

I don't even believe in him, but when I was still at the mercy of Cablevision for TV...it made me wonder.
I pay 35 for Verizon DSL and haven't had any problems at all with it. Their tech support is fabulous too--it's not outsourced to someone in India reading from a script.

Sorry. If you DO decide to move to DSL, we had really good experience with Speakeasy (I say "had" because we quit them when we sold our house and my husband moved to Texas and I to an apartment in Pennsylvania; long story). He ordered SBC for the Texas house, and we really haven't had any trouble, so I MAY be able to recommend them, too.

7. It depends where you are |

in Seattle, it's the city. And they are into kicking Comcast's ass. And Comcast knows *I* know that.
Ask for credit everytime it goes out. They should give it to you.
