Brothers in Arms
These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowland
And always will be
Someday you'll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn to be brothers in arms

Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I have witnessed your suffering
As the battle raged higher
And though it did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me, my brothers in arms.

There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we just have just one world
But we live in different ones

Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the star light
In every line in your palm
We are fools to make war on our brothers in arms.

1. Thanks.
It's a very powerful song. It's my favorite Dire Straits tune.

:)

2. Nah....Money For Nothing
We got to install microwave ovens
Custom kitchen deliveries
We got to move these refridgerators
We got to move these colour TVs

But, even better than that:

Check out guitar George
He knows all the chords
Mind he's strictly rhythm
He doesn't wanna make it cry or sing
He says an old guitar is all he can afford
When he gets up under the lights
To play his thing
With the Sultans
Yeah with the Sultans of Swing

And Harry doesn't mind
If he doesn't make the scene
He's got a day time job
He's doing alright
He can play the honky-tonk like anything
Saving it up for friday night
With the Sultans
Yeah with the Sultans of Swing

3. A very cool song ...
One could argue, the best hour of television in recent years used it as mood. West Wing season finale a couple of years ago.
