10. But not great for the knees, if one of them has a chunk |
|
of cartilage that has been getting loose more frequently lately. I can whack it back where it belongs with a couple of good smacks from the heel of my hand, but that only works for a few days.
Ah well, I've been ducking the repair for almost two years now. I suspect it might be time to give up on the home remedy outlined above (though I do have a rubber mallet that might be more authoritative), and let the doctor cut it.

Owie. Let me know if you want some company while you recoup, and I'll bring the little one down to dance for you. That's entertainment, trust me :)

13. She's dancing now? I bet that's a riot. I must see it. |
|
But no recouping for me; if I let them do the cutting I'll be back in the office the next day. Unless they get in there and decide it's time for the full-scale replacement, because there's not a lot of the original equipment left.
But even so, you gotta get up in the morning and go to work. Especially when you own the company.
I'd make time to see that dancing, though. I like kids of all ages, but two to four or five or so is my favorite.

Accompagnied by her very own invented songs :) I love it!
Sorry about the knee, dude :( I hope it's an easy fix this time around, and not the full-blown deal. Sucks when the boss is such a hardass and won't give a guy a day off. Geez ;)

19. I'm getting a bit tired of that SOB boss, if you want the truth. |
|
Maybe I'll just up and QUIT, and see how he likes doing everything himself.
That'll teach him.
Invented songs? That, I gotta hear. You guys settle the domicile situation yet?

Yeah, that'd teach him a lesson, alright! ;)
Invented songs... a mish-mash of things like Happy Birthday, Twinkle Twinkle, Baby Beluga, and some bits and pieces that she's just making up. It's adorable!
As for the housing situation... here, I'm gonna cut and paste from another post:
This week: Quiz, final exam, start packing up stuff (to move back to my mom's or store in the basement here) Next Week: Move out of current place on the 24th. Stay with friends, commute becomes 1+ hour each way. Only 5 days, though. Aug 29th, new classes start (M/W nights) Aug.31st: Planned closing on the house (probably not) Sept. 1-6: Visit friends in Kansas! Fun, relaxation, etc.! Sept. 7th: Probable closing on the house Sept. 7th/8th: Back to work, moving into new house? Rest of Sept.: Whatever improvements we want to do off the bat, and then moving stuff in/giving stuff away gradually
So, um, if you don't see me around much, that's where I am ^

But come November or so, things should be a bit calmer :)
Seriously, I just can't wait to have our own place and be settled for a while. Even if we're camping on the floor and eating take-out, at least we'll be there, you know? The moving and unpacking can go slowly, and we can get rid of stuff we haven't touched in a year or more. And then finally, we will have our own space.

PS: Can I be there for the do-over? Please, please?

18. Well, then you can come back and sit around with all |
|
of those who admire you. I could entertain you with the adventures of my child: he turned 16 yesterday. His day has been filled with frustration (the DMV isn't open on Monday, he tangled with his Dad, I got the blowback). He starts his school tomorrow. He's pissed about it.
I sure hope you can feel better, and get some help with pain.
But, here's this. You get to enjoy great natural surroundings. You have a good and sound mind, and you can express your thoughts in your good writing, and you let your feelings be known, even if it's a bit anonymous. People love you, your loved ones. You can always make some sort of living.
So, it's not all bad. Sore knees, feh.
Actually, I have a sore back and a sore lots of things. Gutting it out is not too much fun. I wish you well, always.

20. Why, thank you so much for your compliments. |
|
I'm flattered.
And I can sympathize with your "adventures of a 16-year-old." they're so full of hormones at that age that they tend to resemble tornadoes, yes?
Again, I do appreciate your kind thoughts and compliments.
