I'm proud to say I've never said anything hypocritical. If what they're saying pisses me off too badly, I just move on. I do have to be feeling exceptionally strong to go there, however. And when I return to DU, with great relief, I always feel slightly soiled.:evilfrown:

for quite a while. I only post occasionally, and only non-controversial comments for the most part.

Here's some advice for any of you who may want to try and "infiltrate" the FR board: Let your account age a bit if you want to post something even remotely anti-shrub. If you are a brand new subscriber they will ZOT your ass the minute you post a bad word about their "leader". I've seen it happen to many a poor liberal soul who just couldn't wait to dis the shrub in FReeperland. So wait awhile, make a few benign posts first, then, if you want to post an anti-shrub article, just append the title of the thread with "Barf Alert". It works every time, and usually opens a discussion among the real FReepers.

I have never (so far anyway) tried to disrupt any of their discussions (I hate when they come over here and disrupt, so I try not to sink to their level). I always try to be polite. But I think it's important for them to read some anti-shrub material once in a while. If nothing else, it's interesting seeing the spin they always try to put on any article that does not reflect exactly their points of view.

I'm polite to them and find they're polite to me. They may be Freepers, but they follow the rules. One thing that I have noticed is that swearing is not allowed on that board, nor do they have an equivalent to our Lounge. Other than bashing the Clintons, I really don't see them having much fun.:shrug:

"the smokey back room". That would be the closest thing to our lounge, I guess, but the rules are still pretty stringent there. I don't hang out in that forum much, but I think there's no swearing allowed there either. You're right, other than the joy they get from bashing the Clintons, they don't seem to be having much fun over there. They take themselves waaaaaaaay too seriously if you aks me. And they accuse liberals of having no sense of humor?

And sudnly his server was swamped with so many DU posters that it looked like a dinial of service attack. Oh I just loved to see thoese nut cases freek out when it downed on them just how big the DU was.

The mods had to put a stop to that
