I leave you all with a cheerful goodnight and Pink Floyd's "The Great Gig In The Sky" playing....

1. Not in this part of Southern Arizona.
SW Arizona... Yuma. But like in your part of Arizona, it is definitely bedtime.

6. it is kind of neat
I'm a native Montanan though. It is way to hot down here for me. That is one reason why I'm moving back.

7. When are you moving back to MT?
Edited on Tue Aug-16-05 04:31 AM by Whoa_Nelly
I was in Tucson for the last 2-1/2 years to go to Interior Design school....went to high school there Jr./Sr. year back in the hippie-dippy days of the early '70s. Was in northern NV for 20 years before that. Although I loved the monsoons and enjoyed the winters after years of 6+ months of snow and ice in the Sierras, am actually thinking of moving back to home state of OK...seems to be one of the few places where I can actually afford to buy a home again.

What part of MT? Missoula? Billings?
And what part of Tucson are you in? I was in the NW...in high school lived in the east part of town.

on edit: damn wine typos...

8. maybe in January
I'm going to transfer to the U of MT in Missoula. But I'll probably move back to my hometown, Cut Bank, for a while because I'm going to run for State Senate in that district.

I am in the NW area too. Just off of First Ave, up a few minutes from the Tucson Mall.

9. More power to you re: Senate

Am impressed! Follow your passion!

I was up off of Cortaro and Thornydale. Had just left Reno, NV after 10 years of SpEd teaching. If I move, it will probably be January, too. Am going to OK in Nov., and sending out resumes in Oct ahead of the trip. Damn...my second grandchild, a boy this time, is due in Oct. But, now that my son is in college, and he's looking to go after an MD degree, am sure he won't be staying in this hick, rural area of central CA once he starts the more serious stuff after his M-CATs. Meanwhile, I'm only a plane flight away to be with my darlin' granddaughter and new baby grandson.

Montana needs you...I can tell from here you have what it takes

'nighters

over and out

10. oh new baby grandson
Early congratulations. One of my younger brothers just had a little daughter. He's got a couple kids, by a few different women. (eep!)
The good thing about that guy being a screwball is his kids are great. Their crazy Uncle on the other side of the country never gets to see them though. :(

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about running for office. Nervous. I'm really a writer. I'm a creative person. But, I have a knack for analytical thought and policy and analysis comes easy to me. I have a great distaste for the money side of politics. I'm also a pretty private person, I can put on a public persona, but I'm more of a stay at home guy than anything. I feel though, I can always do my creative stuff in my spare time though. I always knew I'd run for office, since I was about 5 I've known, lol. I just thought I would work most of my life, doing something creative, writing mostly, then towards then in my mid-40's or my 50's I thought I'd maybe run for office. Now, I've decided to give public service a shot and do my writing on the side. Too many people are hurting in this country to just stand idly by. I'd feel guilty if I didn't try to rectify that. So, yeah, I'm running for office. My parents were freaked out about it, my dad deadset against it at first. But, I'm the family maverick, I just go out and do stuff. Whether the time is perfect or not. Now, I'm working on getting the Governor's endorsement and stuff. So we'll see how this all goes.
