12. I think any band that makes my top #10 is pretty damn impressive!!

But I made a very well-thought out decision and it just seemed a better choice to put Green Day in the top #10. They have matched much of my criteria which is producing at least 10 years of strong material plus I just find myself less and less in a KC mood and more and more in a GD mood.

But thing is you're right - KC has been in that top 5 for about 10 years and this was a major decision to make the change, but who knows what will happen. Maybe I'm favoring Green Day because of their very vocal anti-war/anti-Bush rhetoric and to be honest, it seems all the top 5 bands in there were English (LZ, Queen, Yes, Pink Floyd and KC) so it felt right that an American Band finally crossed that threshold.

I stand by my choice, but who knows, it 5 years you could be saying "I told you so"

. . .it's who you dumped them down for. I don't dislike Green Day in any way, but come on!

And, in the Discipline through 3 Of A Perfect Pair era, there's a BUNCH of social commentary songs that make me think those guys would be our philosophical allies as well.
