'Fraid I've gotten a bit burnt out on them. (Don't imagine that can happen, do ya? :) )
Definitely still see them as fun, and more power to those that are into them. Gnaw a turkey leg (or a bread bowl of broccoli cheese soup) for me!

It's not till Oct; but I just got my garb the way I wanted it this year so I'm all excited. Were you SCA? I'm not going that far I think. There are only 2 here and one is only 1 weekend in the spring. The other is way long. I can see getting burnt out; there's only so much you can do unless you have a running plot or something.

I kept going to Faire long after I'd seen all the shows, could predict all the lines. Still liked the atmosphere, had many friends, etc.
But, after a while, it still got stale. Plus, I've got a zillion other interests, so I moved on.
However, I'm still drawn by the sound of bagpipes in the distance...
