Do you think that when the brat pack made St. Elmo's Fire
They knew this would be the greatest accomplishment, the defining moment - the esprit d'existance if you will, at the time?

Or do you think they thought it would be just another chance to snort coke with Demi Moore and Emilio Estevez?

2. The latter, no doubt.
Besides, the Breakfast Club was the defining moment. :P

4. Now I beg to disagree with you Ms Who
Breakfast Club was Monterey Pop to St Elmo's Woodstock.

It was a milestone - a defining moment, but not quite the cultural impact that St Elmos had...

After all, how many neon Billy Idol murals did you see on Studio walls before and then after St Elmos...

6. Define 'defining moment', Mr. er...
Breakfast Club MADE the brat pack (Demi rode some coattails). It was the BIRTH of the Brat Pack. Without it, we'd be brat-packless.

5. I thought Emilio was really hot.
That went downhill fast when I learned he was going to marry Paula Abdul.

Shortly after, I discovered Bono and other creative guys who actually had talent.
