My mom just told me to stop drinking Pepsi |
|
I then said what should I drink beer?
She said beer is better than pepsi because it doesn't have sugar and it cleans out your system.
So tomorrow I'm going to go out and buy some beer.
Any suggestions on a good brand?

3. Depending on what your tastes are |
|
I have a number of suggestions
I like Guinness, but it's a pretty heavy beer. Double Stout is a great source of Iron.
Negra Modelo comes to mind, great flavor.
Killian's Irish Red is a good ale.
Sam Adams has interesting flavors, I like their Cream Stout for a nice relaxing "dessert" beer. I also like Winter Ale, and the traditional Boston Lager. I wasn't too fond of the Summer blend.

6. Pretty much any flavored beverage has sugar in it |
|
and if it has no sugar than it has a sugar substitute like Nutrasweet. If you really want to clean out your system, water is your best bet. But if you are looking for a good beer, may I recommend some Sam Adams or Sam Adams Light. The light has less calories and tastes much better than most other light beers.

The reason to avoid Coors products is that they taste like watered down goatpiss.

It's the kind of sugar you have to worry about.
Pepsi and all other widely distributed/popular soda products contain High Fructose Corn Syrup. That stuff is poison. Everyone should avoid it as much as possible, which is harder than it seems. It's in nearly all processed foods. The best way to avoid it is to cook for yourself.
Beer has no HFCS. Cheers: here's mud in your eye.

25. If your not a regular beer drinker start with something not too strong |
|
A nice balanced lager or ale. Sam Adams is good or Sierra Nevada pale ale. SN has more hop bitterness but is still nicely balanced. Bass Ale would be another good choice. Since it's summer time a lot of micro breweries are putting out wheat beers which are a really tasty.

35. Let's get started off on the right foot. |
|
Most domestic american beer blows. The best cheapest mass produced beer is Coors. But like people above have mentioned it is deeply rooted in Right wing Evil. Sam Adams is good for a macro-brew, but may be a bit much for the novice. Sam Adams Lite, is a good start. My advice though, for starters is Amstel Light, it's got good real beer flavor, it's Dutch, and it's light on the alcohol. Word of advice though, don't drink beer like soda although it dos'nt contain corn syrup and thats good.

36. Availability has a lot to do with where you are located. |
|
For instance, New Belgium Brewery has a fairly decent selection of Macro beers, but you can't find them anywhere around where I live. Lienenkugels, GLueks and SUmmit make good beer as well, but you can't find them anywhere on the West Coast. Just try some lighter ones that you can find where you live.
If you're looking for widespread options, I would go with Amstel, Sam Adams, Kilians. If you want something dark, try Amber Boch.

Coke is way better. Might I suggest water? Sodas with caffeine make you more thirsty anyways. Start drinking water and you will gradually stop drinking Pepsi. Beer is good but I only drink on occasion.
