I went to the movies three times this weekend
Well, I went twice - one trip was a double feature. I rank them:

1. School of Rock
2. The Matrix Revolutions
3. Intolerable Cruelty

Liked 'em all, but School of Rock is the only one I want to see again. But, damn - Catherine Zeta-Jones is perfection (that is, except in her taste in husbands).

2. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to work weekends
I really want to see Matrix Revolutions. A bunch of my friends went to see it today, but I went to work.

4. Revolutions wasn't bad.
But it wasn't up to the original in quality.

Kinda like Alien/Aliens:

Alien was a great sci fi horror flick.

Aliens was a great sci fi action flick.

People who went to see Aliens expecting the same kind of movie as Alien were disappointed.

Matrix: Revolutions and Matrix: Reloaded were reasonable sci fi action flicks, but lacked the depth of the original.

3. I haven't been to a movie show
since 1997 when I went to see The Titanic. Nowadays I just wait for movies to come out on DVD or cable.

5. I went to two movies...
The Human Stain (Nicole Kidman was imho incredible - I'll be shocked if she doesn't get another oscar bid and deservably so). I also saw Love Actually and OMG, it is the best feel good movied I've EVER seen. What a great movie weekend.
