Wow...progdad is a really really loud breather. |
|
We moved the PC from the guest room to our bedroom (which is where I camp out at night when I'm catching up on work/posting) to make room for progdad's cousin who is staying with us this week - somewhat unexpectedly. So for the first time in a long time...we're both on computers in the same room. He's writing record reviews while I'm posting on DU. And I have to tell you....it's kind of annoying. And you really can't tell your spouse to breathe more quietly now, can you?

1. It's a bad sign when you tell your spouse to stop breathing, yes. |

I would just like it if he did it a little more quietly. Like...through his nose.

24. so he is breathing through his mouth? |
|
That is odd. It is usually quieter to breathe through your mouth. Many is the time I have sat next to a snorting nose-breather and wanted to tell him "you are not a horse, man, open up your mouth and breathe!"

11. You should hear him at the urinal. |
|
No you shouldn't.
It always amazes me when I'm sitting on a toilet in a public men's room, ostensibly taking a shit but actually observing human behavior, and here the guy at the urinal breathing, shuddering, quivering, quaking, moaning at the glory of his golden throughput.
Or hear the guys in the next stall actually doing what I am ostensibly doing. Birth trauma. My long lost placenta twin, as RD Laing would have it.
I think trauma from such encounters eventually forced me into an ill-advised, hence abandoned Paxil prescription. I will admit that the telescopically delayed orgasms were spine shattering, but I had been hoping for something else, Glaxo, aside from a rare respite from anorgasmia.
Back to the men: they moan and grunt mere inches away from you, then they are clipping their nails at their desks, to the stern tones of Brit Hume's Viagra posse.

15. Loud breathers - I have to admit, I am very prejudiced against them. |
|
I see it as a sign of low intelligence or low breeding.
One's life should not be loud enough for other people to hear, whether it's your breathing, your footsteps, your chewing, your rustling around.
The only thing other people should hear is sneezes, coughs, and speech.
I do NOT breathe loudly. Just, you know, sayin'.

29. Plug earphones in your computer and listen to some soothing |
|
music and tune out the breathing.
Take a few deep breaths and relax - it is late and the annoyances of today are soon in the past. Tomorrow is another day!
Go get some rest and let your body and mind relax and recharge.
