I make it every Thanksgiving. It is French Silk Pie and it is not for those on restricted diets. On edit: I guess I should call it "Freedom" silk pie. heh heh. Here goes:

You will need

an electric mixer

a pie crust. You can bake one if you want, but I'm lazy and just use a store bought graham cracker one

3 oz of bittersweet chocolate

1 stick of butter - Do NOT use margarine. It will not work.

2 tsp. vanilla

4 eggs

1 cup of sugar

Melt the chocolate in the microwave. In a separate bowl, melt the butter. Add the two together and mix in the sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, beating each for five minutes between eggs. With the last egg, add the vanilla. Pour into pie shell and chill in fridge.

Tonight I tried it with chocolate Reddi Whip and it was dreamy, but you can use cool whip or nothing at all on the top.

Happy cooking, everyone!

3. It's stupidly easy, but everyone will think that you
put tons of effort into it. That's why I like to take it to social functions. It's always a big hit! I sound like a cook-book, don't I?

4. Sounds good!
If you want to make a quick cheesecake buy 2 boxes of Cheesecake Flavored pudding mix and mix it with a container of cool whip and put it into a store bought graham cracker crust. You can put a can of Thank You Pie Filling on top and you have an instant Cheesecake.

Your pie sounds good.

5. Hey, that's pretty smart.
Now I know what to do when I have a cheesecake craving, but I'm not feeling like heating the oven up.

6. It works for any type of pudding and also
If you want a diet pie you can take two containers of yogurt and mix it with a container of cool whip and put it into a graham cracker crust.
I use to make that pie when I was a kid and you can be on a diet and eat pie.
