3. The needle is the easy way out. |
|
This is why I think all capital murderers should be forced to have poster-size pictures of their victim(s) in their cells for the rest of their natural life. The first thing they look at after they wake up and before the go to sleep should be their victim.

I can't imagine myself doing anything to warrant such a punishment. But, where there's life there's hope.
It's possible that I could make *some* contribution to society if I were still around.
So, I answered based on my personal feelings about myself. Not on a generality.

17. I voted for bars too. |
|
I'm assuming a basic cell. Cot, pot, 3 squares and a little room to pace a bit. That, and a supply of notebooks and pencils so I can write and I think I could keep myself from going nuts.
Take away the ability to write, or pace, and maybe I've got problems.

9. I'd sit it out. I don't do needles. |
|
But that's not the main reason I'd sit out the sentence. I'd do it because my life would still be worth living.

Brian: I'm not the Messiah! Will you please listen? I am not the Messiah, do you understand? Honestly! Girl: Only the true Messiah denies His divinity. Brian: What? Well, what sort of chance does that give me? All right! I am the Messiah! Followers: He is! He is the Messiah! Brian: Now, fuck off!
Arthur: How shall we fuck off, O Lord?

18. It would depend on whether I felt guilt or remorse for what I did. |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 09:41 AM by terrya
If I did feel guilt about the crime I committed, I would opt for the lethal injection. I wouldn't want to spend a lifetime being racked with guilt and remorse.

Had I committed genocide through some form of negligence (I can't imagine doing so intentionally) I might choose the needle.

No matter what waits for us after death, I do have a hard time accepting that evil could be left unpunished.

It's against my personal convictions. Anyway, I could probably use the time alone with my thoughts. I like my own company. And the schedule would be far less rigorous than the one I have now.
I'd miss the creamed corn, though.
