Comcast Bills Name Complaining Customers As "Bitch Dog" & "Scrotum Bag"

Until recently, LaChania Govan's complaints about Comcast's service seemed relatively tame. The 25-year-old Elgin mother of two said she was put on hold, disconnected, even transferred to the Spanish language line.

But after persistent problems with her digital recording system forced her to make dozens of calls to the cable company in July, her August bill came with a change really worth complaining about: In place of her name were the words "Bitch Dog."

"If this is not that customer's name, it shouldn't be on that bill," said Patricia Andrews-Keenan, vice president of communications for the company. "But we don't know why that happened. It's obvious that that's inappropriate to have a name like that on that account."

In that case, Jefferoy Barnes, 44, of Maywood received four pieces of mail from the company that included the words "scrotum bag" in the line with his name.

I'm guessing this probably started as a little joke between CSRs, intended to be seen on screen only and not actually printed out on the bill.

It's plain stupid and whoever did it SHOULD be fired.

Yes, "scrotum bag" in reference to a scrotum would be redundant. "Testicle bag" would be better. But perhaps the person meant to indicate a bag full of scrotums, as opposed to a bag full of testes... :P

15. We had a near-miss along these lines in our store last year.

A couple of years ago, a customer came in and totally out of the blue starting talking about how great Bush was and asked why one of the women who works here wasn't an American citizen (she had mentioned earlier in the conversation that she kept her French citizenship).

Anyway, it was kind of weird and uncomfortable, he kept raving about how lucky we were to have a president who was such a prayerful leader and all that horseshit. It seemed like it went on forever. Later, I added in his profile on our database: "This guy is a fucking raving lunatic Bush supporter. Do not mention anything remotely involving politics or France."

He came back and asked to see a list of his previous purchases, so we printed off his list for him, complete with the comment... I was only about 10 feet away from him when I saw it and said, "Oh whoops, I printed out the wrong person's list," and went back to erase it.

Actually, it would have been kind of funny to see the look on his face. :rofl:
