How do you uninstall a program that has no unistaller? |
|
It also is not listed in the Contol Panel. I asked the people who made but they blew me off.

It is a piece of GIS software I thought might be useful but wasn't so I want to get rid of it.

1. Stop using windows; their damn registry is the problem. |
|
REAL operating systems don't have an eggs-in-one-basket registry and don't need a stinking uninstall program to waste more space. Just delete the bloody directory and have it done! (in those operating systems, that is... you can't in windows... and even with an uninstall program, deleting the registry entries won't make the registry more efficient. Even XP has to be reinstalled every so often because of it. And MS cannot fix it. Even their hype for "Vista" is a steaming pile made to make the ignorant drool.)

First, go throw your Windows-based computer in the trash can.
Go buy an Apple iBook and never have to ask computer problem questions again.

5. If not in "Add & Remove Programs", it should be...Go into your C drive via |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 10:41 PM by LaPera
the "My Computer" icon on desktop, click programs file, find the program (it will be there), that you want to delete and delete it...you might also do a "Search" By hitting the start button and hit "Search" to see what files were left behind, you might want to delete them...Then run a good reg cleaner. Then hit "clean up files" (in "Maintenance") found in control panel, defrag, clean trash, reboot!
Even if it's in "Add & Remove Programs" (in the Control Panel) you should still delete it in the C drive and follow the rest of the instructions above.
Still, there will be files around of that program, and it's nice to have software that will get rid of all temps files, and setup, etc...
I'm using XP pro, but the above works the same with 98, 2000 & ME.
I can recommend two excellent & inexpensive software for Reg cleanup and file clean up.
