For all those that watch Big Brother...
I am afraid my beloved Kaysar will be gone tonight! It is really too bad. He is so smart (even though he should have never given up HOH), and he is so darned cute! :(

1. I stopped watching after season 1.
After that it turned into a comfy version of Survivor. Not worth my time.

5. Yes watching people sitting around in AC has little drama
the three shows a week thing really waters down the immediacy.

I still watch though-see below.

2. He's definitely going.
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 03:49 PM by skypilot
AGAIN. It was really dumb for him to try to make that deal with Jennifer. He should have known that he'd be targeted just for having been evicted and then returning to the house. Frankly, I wish BB would stop doing that. There is NO chance that someone who is evicted and then returned to the house will EVER win. As soon as they step foot back in that house they are marked. No one is going to let someone who got a "second chance" win the game. Questions of fairness are always going to come up. It is good for drama but if the person is someone your are rooting for it's kinda pointless. You just know that the other houseguests are not going to let that person get very far in the game after they've returned.

Kaysar not quit the HOH game. I was screaming at the TV for him not to do that. I am sad. He was my absolute fave!!!

I don't like Kaysar or anyone on his "team."

Bye, Kaysar!

(although I do give him his due snaps for educating James about the reality of what's going on in Iraq)

46. YES I am serious!
I like Beau and Ivette - I like the way she protects him and takes care of him because he is clearly really shy, except when drinking.

And I like that James admitted he learned something about what the Iraqi people are actually going through, so I'm coming around to liking him a bit, as well.

I liked Eric. He had a big mouth, but he had character and hated Bush.

Yes he probably will be gone. He did screw up trusting ANYONE but "Jen" just flat out lied twice. She was totally under the radar until last week but she suddenly showed herself to be pretty damned low.

Once Kaysar is gone I am fully rooting for James-why not the rest of them (other than Rachel :loveya: aren't worth it)

Ivette should HAVE been throw out for her obnoxiousness mindlessness
Beau-pfft why? What has he done?
April-I liked her better as Phoebe on "Friends"
Howie-goofball sometimes funny (Jedi?) but I'm not really rooting for him (though I am rooting for that team)
Maggie-Slimy. Anyone who has uttered the word "Cappy" in a gushing praising way is off my list. Okay I respect firemen (Eric) but he is one V-neck tshirt away from a spousal abuse charge.
The blonde Jen-whatever-smarter than she first appeared. I don't mind her so much (and not for the BOD thing Rachel is far better looking than the rest of the ladies put together).

BTW_ Srah is going to get dumped by James like last weeks trash as soon as he gets out but that of course isn't why I am rooting for him.

Although, I think they underestimated Jennifer. She came out smarter than I thought! I can't stand her though! Janelle, I like. Howie, goofy for sure, but I like him. Rachel is a pretty smart cookie. James will probably do well now that he obviously has the other side fooled.

Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 03:57 PM by skypilot
...even though he is allegedly a Bush supporter. Actually, I still kinda like Janelle and Howie but it's not going to happen. Janelle has too many enemies in the house and Howie is too flighty. Being a black gay man I normally might root for the black gay man in the game but BB has a tendency to get the most annoying black gay men they can find. Marcellus from a while back annoyed me and Beau from this year is twice as bad.

Kaysar set James straight and told him that his people were and are suffering greatly due to this war - I'm glad they showed it.

I'm a Big Brother fan myself.... but it's watercooler talk at work - so what the heck.

Although I heard musings today that after the ceremony - Beau was drunk again and Janelle pushed him & he fell - so the house is pissed at Janelle - so perhaps Kaysar will be saved, but I'm doubtful.

Edited to Add: Given that Kaysar is an Iraq & a muslim, I was real proud of America there for a minute when he was the one they voted back in (instead of the firefighter) which I'm sure everyone thought would be a shoein.

47. I did hear that too, but he did something to her
as well. She was cussing everybody out. April, Beau, Jennifer. She is trying to get them to vote her out instead of Kaysar, but I doubt it will happen. She was calling Beau a man-whore and a male prostitute, calling Jennifer a reality tv whore (she has apparently tried out for a lot of shows), calling April stupid. It was crazy. Howie was in on all of it too. Rachel and Kaysar just sat back kind of disappointed in them.

I have gotten into some of the reality show but this one struck me as the dumbest of the dumb. The people were photogenic but really blah and dumb. Even the tests they had to do were dumb. I just could not get into it.

8. I don't really know.
They are not all dumb though. Yes some of them are stupid as dirt, but there are a few good ones on there. I guess the thought of being trapped in a house that you don't even know where it is w/absolutely no communication with the outside (no radio, newspapers, music, tv, pictures, nothing)intrigued me. I am not a Survivor fan even though I know that is a much tougher game. I guess I like it for the drama!

It seems to be edited to within an inch of its life. I mean, all the Big Brothers are heavily edited but this season is edited so much that about half the houseguests haven't made much of an impression.

19. My daughter got me sucked into it.
After her boyfriend broke up with her, she asked me to watch with her (they had always watched together), so she wouldn't feel lonely.

The strategy involved isn't particularly brain-stretching, but as fluffy entertainment goes, it seems to work for me. I never watched any of the previous five seasons.

I've never watched Survivor either, but considering that my DAD watched a season of it, there might be something of interest there, and maybe I'll give it a go with the new season.

17. There is no question in my mind that he is getting evicted.
He will get votes from Jennifer, April, James, Ivette, and Beau for sure, and most likely from Maggie also.

Jennifer screwed him over twice: once with who she agreed to put up, and once again when she promised that they would backdoor James.

He should never have trusted her, and he shouldn't have lifted his finger off that button.

The only good thing will be watching the others eventually turn on Jennifer.

this might sound trite and superficial but.... I swear he had their heads swimming simply based on his *mysterious* *foreign* looks-they thought he was all wise and knowing based mostly on that. His being Iraqi (I swear this was my first read on it) was that they thought he was like the guy on "Lost".
