Jerry Lewis calls Bush a "Moron"

No link yet, but I just heard this on the local radio news it went something like this:

"Jerry Lewis who is preparing for his upcoming Labor Day telethon was asked what he thinks of the characters he played being described as "morons" by some critics. Lewis replied, "Lets face it we have alot of moronic people in this country. We have a moron for president. Compared to Bush the character I played was a genius." That's about all I heard.

Regardless of his political leanings/opinions about the war, to compare some of the moronic characters he's played (which were comic genius) with George Bush is fucking outstanding. Brilliant.

14. I have a confession to make (hangs head in shame) . . .

I have loved Jerry Lewis since I was a kid. I used to spend the weekend with my grandma just so we could watch his Labor Day telethon together--ALL OF IT!!! This went on through my college years.

I can't help it--he makes me laugh. Besides, anyone who has worked so hard for a cause and refuses all the publicity he could get by telling why he does it has to be a good guy in my book.

I would give anything to have seen him and Dean Martin when they were together--did you know that they drew bigger teeny-bopper crowds than Sinatra in the late 40s, early 50s? I've seen film of thousands of screaming girls in the streets outside their hotel--it was insane.

Anyway, I love Jerry--so there!
