Ugh, I'm an idiot...
So maybe a week ago I uninstalled Windows SP2 from my PC in an attempt to fix a problem I was having with a program. No dice. Then, I noticed that for some odd reason, my F: drive had disappeared (this is my drive with all of my music, movies, etc.). I couldn't figure out why, so I went into my disk manager and noticed that the drive was "Unallocated". So I thought the only way to get it back was to partition and format it, thus losing all 150+ GB of data forever. Oddly though, Windows was only reading the drive as 137GB, despite it being a 200GB drive. Turns out that when I uninstalled SP2, I forgot to install SP1 and therefore Windows couldn't recognize drives over 137GB (which is why it didn't recognize it with the original 200GB partition with all of my stuff on it). It was only a matter of installing SP1 (which I thought I did, but it turns out I didn't) or reinstalling SP2.

I hate realizing shit like this AFTER it happens.

So...ummm...yeah, what's the most idiotic thing you've done this week?

7. Damn, I'm messing with SP2 right now
In fact, it's prompting me to reboot every 10 minutes now that the install is done. But I'm scared. :scared:

9. Executive summary...
I lost 150+ GB of music and movies (somewhere around 13,000 files) when it could have easily been avoided.

12. Yeah...
Though my friend just told me about the time he accidentally formatted the wrong hard drive and eneded up losing the final cut of a film he was working on, resulting in him having to edit the entire thing again. His pain made me less frustrated, haha.
