An old friend just suprised me- coming tommorow! Yikes!
I haven’t seen or heard from Bob since we were 16 years old (42 y/o now). I used to be in the boy scouts with him and we hung out some. I got a surprise e-mail a couple of months ago saying he might drop in on me. Today after work, I had a message from Bob saying he would be in town tomorrow morning. My home is in rough shape as my cleaning habits are on par with the below average single male. If it smells I clean it up, if not then its best not to disturb it (unless you need to use it). I also share my abode with six dogs and two cats which tend to add to the mess. I won’t have time to tidy up at all. I am such a slob! How would you tactfully avoid a home visit? I have to try to avoid that at almost all costs. I don’t mind if he sees the outside but the inside is a wreck. Maybe I could say the dogs are real aggressive?

I have no idea why he has contacted me after all these years. I suspect a mid-life crisis of some sort. I am trying to remember if I did something to really piss him off 25 years ago- enough to want to kill me. (did I mention I am a bit paranoid and cautious?) I don’t recall anything.

I am kind of on the edge of my seat, curious as to the nature of the visit. Has anyone else had an old friend re-appear after so many years?

1. Dress like a woman and meet him outside

Of course, if he shows up in a dress himself or has had a sex change, that might not work ...

3. Meet him someplace for dessert or a meal.
Somewhere where you can hang around quite a while.
