I suppose if your heart is in NYC then you should remain PeteNYC. I lived in LA for 3 years but when asked where I was from I invariably said "I'm from St Louis but I live in LA right now." Good Luck in LA!

16. Embracing change! Good for you!

I did at first but then I truly missed the change in season. People thought I was a little off because I missed the snow, iceskating in Forest Park, throwing snowballs (I'm in my thirties and still have to throw a snowball or two)Also I love fall hiking with the crisp colorful leaves crunching underneath my steps. I missed thunderstorms in the summer. I suppose I never spiritually left St Louis.
Santa Barbara is the place to hang in my opinion. Ahhhh and then there's Big Sur!

that's the most "LA " advise I can give you. Personally when you change screen names (I did when the new DU went up)it does have a subtle effect on your writing-posting style; a lot of posters have told me that I actually mellowed somewhat (which I find hard to believe).
