I think my 9 year old daughter got us written out of the in-laws will...
So, we're over at the fundie in-laws for dinner tonight and my daughter is having a conversation with her imaginary friend (she only seems to trot him out for the in-laws benifit to begin with). My mother-in-law says "Megan, don't you think you're a little too old to be talking to an imaginary friend?" to which my little darling replies "No, grammie, you talk to your imaginary friend all the time." Grandma replies, "I don't have an imaginary friend sweetie" to which my daughter replies "Sure you do grammie, you know, God". My husband rushed to the rescue and started talking to his dad about football (since gradpa didn't have his hearing aides in this was a long and loud conversation). Needless to say, dinner wrapped up in a quick hurry, and I'm sure they called their lawyer at home to change the will....Too bad, my husband had promised me I could donate a chunk of their sizeable assets to NARAL.

5. Your daughter is a genius, gifted in a remarkable way.
My god, to have a wit like that at her young age, and the timing. Stay on her good side...haha. Don't worry about the NARAL donation, you're daughter will make millions, if she chooses.

This is a wonderful story, not for the politics, but for the genius of the come back (I suspect grandma will leave her alone now).

6. If she is their only grandchild, you need not worry.
And it sounds like you need not worry about her at all. Well done. Of course, you know that at least 10% of their estate is going back to their church regardless of your child's comments.

7. What makes you sure they called their lawyer?
Or are you just imagining this?

13. I'm just guessing based on the looks on their faces...
they already think I'm a godless heathen, now they're probably convinced that I will just use their $ to fund my satanic desires:evilgrin:

8. That has got to be...
...the single most awesome thing I've ever heard of any kid saying, anywhere.

Cheers to your daughter!

12. LOL!! Good for your daughter.
Would that all of us would be willing to speak the truth like children are willing to do.
