A few DU rules I have been in violation of...

I just read the entire rules of DU for the first tiime like ever. I am a bad member.

Do not publicly accuse another member of this message board of being a disruptor, conservative, Republican, FReeper, or troll, or do not otherwise imply they are not welcome on Democratic Underground. If you think someone is a disruptor, click the "Alert" link below their post to let the moderators know.

I am guilty of the "imply" thing. I implied it last night about this one. The message in which I strongly implied it was deleted this morning but so were all of his/her.

Do not "stalk" another member from one discussion thread to another. Do not follow someone into another thread to try to continue a disagreement you had elsewhere. Do not talk negatively about an individual in a thread where they are not participating. Do not post messages with the purpose of "calling out" another member or picking a fight with another member. Do not use your signature line to draw negative attention to another member of the board.

I did this last night to previously referenced screenname.

Do not post personal information about any other person, even if that information is publicly available. Do not "dig up" information about any other visitor to this website. You may post the public contact information for public figures, but you may not post anyone's private information without their consent.

I did not know this was a rule although it makes total sense. I violated this rule either last night or the night before by posting how easy it was to get Larry Northern's contact info and exactly ow to get it. I was just being silly. But alas, it was not funny. I realized it was not funny very soon after posting the thread and then self-deleted it.

Do not post messages about bodily functions.

Can I get some sympathy on this one, it is such a blurry line.


I am going to bed now and I will think of the errors of my ways and I how I can be a more civil member of DU in the future.

6. I'm a bad member too

I can turn any thread into a sex thread in ten seconds flat.

I have on several occassions called other DUers not very nice names and I am very sorry for it.

The stalking rule was made for me... but they all loved me in the end.

Bodily functions? WTF? That was not my fault! Datasuspect had a cold! Of course I had to post about snot and I had to turn it into a sex thread. It was mandatory and not my fault.

Perhaps I should go to bed too.
