Which movie boasts the best hero/villain combo? |
|
Star-crossed enemies, you get the picture...
1. "Rob Roy": Characters don't get more antithetical than MacGregor (Liam Neeson) and Cunningham (Tim Roth): the former is noble, naive, earthy, and monogamous; the latter is depraved, crafty, and bourgeois sexual predator.
2. "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan": The two greatest hams in the world--Shatner and Montalban--spewing Dickens and Melville at one another. Bliss.

I love "Time After Time." McDowell and Warner were wonderful doppelgangers.

John Travolta and especially Nicholas Cage as both hero and villain. Not just the actors -- they way they play off against each other.
