Pintos and ham tonight. She started drooling when she heard that I baked a ham day before yesterday.

If she knows that I'm making pinto beans with chopped ham, she'll really be angry.

Shhh. Don't tell her.

Get these three GRITS together, and no telling what will happen. We might just pack the beans and ham and make a road trip to Crawford. :hi:

17. you may have a point there
about "devil sisters" because - late last night ... one lovely DUer called me something that brought a "Jezabelle and Dita Von Teese" reply in my defense ... If I wanted to see which one of my 'fans' was around ... I'm sure I could figure it out ... but he/she will attack again ... that kind of venom always does! *tisk-tisk* I'll just keep on being me ... and ... watch.

21. I am fully aware of that!
I didn't 'ask' anyone about who earned the removal ... there is no need.

I must have someone's brain questioning a few things ... that usually brings out the freeper trolls on DU.

15. Pintos and chopped ham.
Gonna just throw the whole ham bone into the pot. Add some sausage, celery, onions, garlic. Maybe a few jalapeno slices. Gonna cook it down until the beans are so soft they melt in your mouth and the ham has fallen off the bone.

Am I making you hungry?

:)

36. I'll forgive you ... if you'll FedEx ham & beans ...
first you paint the walls with a base color ... then you rag-on, sponge-on or paint-brush-on another color which has been mixed with 4 parts (glaze) to 1 part (color) ... the effect is two or three tones together ... it can all be purchased at a 'home depot' type of place. Behr is the brand of paint that she likes best. She has done sand paint, suede finish, metallics and thinks this will be easier while using less paint thereby reducing the overall cost.

30. That sounds so good!
I want some now but I'll wait until the fall to make it.
It's always so warm and filling when the weather gets cold. Add some cornbread to it while you're at, maybe some greens and you'll have a heck of a meal!

33. Yes.
I've frozen them before. They will freeze well if you don't mind them being a little bit mushy.
I have to freeze since I always make too much for the two of us.
