the "man purse"
did men really carry these in the early 1970s?

i was just watching serpico and al pacino was carrying one.

why did that go out of style? seems like a good idea.

my brother had one he got while stationed in Germany. He ditched it when he retired from the Army and came home to the US.

5. Honestly, I just don't have that much shit to carry.
When I do photography gigs, I need to carry more stuff (batteries, CF cards, etc). I wear cargo shorts.

I can't imagine ever having the need for a purse.

3. I still see men with variations of it
esp those who use commuter trains. I think the ubiquitous, unisex backpack has become the modern version.

4. i carry a manbag
seriously, i'd be lost without it. i have my prescription sunglasses, my checkbook, a spare handkerchief, my cell phone and address book in mine.

it is really very handy. i don't know why more men don't carry one.

6. Alternative:
Those prescription glasses that are photosensitive, a debit card, a handkerchief in your pocket and your cell in a holster (my cell IS my address book).

Your way works for you....great!

There are easy alternatives, though.
