Thank you to everyone who replied to my 'Burning Out' thread
I don't think I've recovered from all my traveling yet; I still feel physically wrecked. All of your kind words and suggestions have made me feel a whole lot better. I'm going to go someplace warm, covered with sand, and lousy with rum drinks after the New Year. Mmmmmm...rum drinks...lllllaaaaaagggghhhhlllll...

Thanks, everyone. I'll be fine.

5. Sounds like heaven...
warm sand, surf, and drinks with little umbrellas in them. Always the sure cure for what ails ya.

I'm glad you're doing better today doll-baby. And I'm glad we were all able to help. That's what we were all put here to do - to help hold each other up. :-)

6. I missed your thread
but want to say that you most certainly deserve some sand, sun and the drinks of your choice. Take care of yourself. What you are doing and have done for us must be exhausting. We appreciate it.

8. get a yummy pina colada for me!
Man......Acapulco's a great location for that, but get a secluded hotel so you won't be bothered by the beggars on the beach.

11. Cozumel is fun, relaxing and great scuba for beach dives.
I haven't been to Belize yet but from what I've read it's pristine. I'm planning a trip for sometime next year.

12. Will, try to go sooner for your sake.
See if you can get away sooner, you sounded in a bad way!

Seriously, I have been where you are and you are threatening your health.

I know you are worried about leaving now, but you'll come back ready to fight even harder.

21. I don't know if I'll be able to make the Bloomington part of Will's
Trip. My Truthout work keeps me in front of a computer (or near one) from 8 AM to 6pm weeknights, and I won't be driving then. Even if I was driving, I have to get the brakes fixed first before I make any long trips.

I hope you're able to come up to Indy?

18. Cozumel, Cayman - warm sunny places with sea breezes
We all need to take time to recharge our batteries - even you Will Pitt. Take a little advice from a once "burned out" nurse, you need to save a little to put back. What you put back is the seed that grows and nourishes you to fight the fight another day.

Peace

Lee

22. No Covercharge, Pitt.
When you live in your 50's, burnout becomes an everyday way of life.

I have simply GOT to get that house in Canada built so I can start on my greenhouse and Shinto Shrine.

Tea Ceremony, anyone? Does wonders for the nerves, and you can even ring my temple bell. QUIETLY. I have a migraine.

24. Glad to hear you're okay
I didn't know how to respond to the other post. It sounds like warmth, sand, and sunshine will owrk wonders.

There were lots of travel deals in the Sunday paper. You could go to the Dominican and see Pedro. Wait, that might not be a good idea. There are so many neat places in the Caribbean to lose yourself or even find yourself depeneding on the need.

Hang in there, Will. We all appreciaite your commentaries and are here to support you as much as cyberly possible.
