Songs you don't get--like, what is Prince's "Seven" about?
Is it an uberobvious reference to not being upset that the world is ending, because our love is stronger than death? Or the Book of Revelations? That wouldn't make it so cool as if it were about something totally different, like, the Magnificent Seven.

"All seven and we'll watch them fall
They stand in the way of love and we will smoke them all
With an intellect, and a savoir faire
No one in the whole universe will ever compare
I am yours now and you are mine and
together we'll love through all space and time
So don't cry
One day all seven will die."

6. yeah the seven deadly sins stand in the way of true enlightenment....
...and if one is enlightened enough then there would be utopia instead of misery and suffering...just what I take from it. :D

4. Whiter Shade of Pale is about getting a girl into bed, na?
He talks about them dancing, drinking, and something about not letting her be a vestal virgin or something.

I think a love song is always the default. If you can't figure out something, it's probably a love song.

5. A Whiter Shade of Pale..
... is indeed about a guy trying to convince his date to sleep with him. The author has so stated.
