Well, I think I hurt my knee again!
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 09:04 PM by nytemare
In the last 4 years, I have torn my elbow ligament, broken my wrist and had surgery on it, broken my ankle, torn my acl and had surgery, and a couple of hours ago, just walking through the fucking house, I feel and hear a very loud pop in the knee I had surgery on last year. Now, I can feel it grinding and making funny noises, and it looks like a watermelon.

I cannot get a fucking break from getting fucking breaks.

 :grr:

3. Ouch! I'm sorry about that.
I started going to the gym again and one of my knees is bugging me a bit, but thankfully not THAT bad.

I hope you don't have to get cut on again. :(

4. Thank you.
I am way too young to have this kind of shit happen to me all the time. It is really starting to fucking bother me.

Thanks for listening!

5. I have creaky knees, and I'm creeping toward 40...
...so I have a feeling I'll be under the knife before long. :sigh:

8. I hope not!
Knee surgery has come a long way, but is still a pain.

9. I know...but I was really overweight for so long, it took a toll on my
joints. :(

Oh well...maybe I will escape the 'scope. :)

But...maybe when I'm old and crotchety, I can whine about my trick knee, while I try to chase women 50 years younger than me. :D

6. If most or all of these were activity related

you may need to reconsider the kinds of stress you subject your body to.

If they're not, there may be something systemic going on.

Have you discussed the repetitive injuries with your doctor(s) ?

7. I originally hurt my knee playing flag football
Today, though, I was just walking through the house.

They did a bone density test and I am a hair from having osteopenia. I should see if there is something I can take to regain my bone density.

Argh.

10. That sucks. I wish you a speedy recovery and good health.
I nursed my SO back from torn knee cartilage, and that is much less serious than your problem. And it still sucked. And I have a shoulder injury that will not quite heal even after a year.

"What a drag it is getting old..."

13. No kidding!
It is worse feeling like you are getting old before your time!

I am injury prone as hell!

14. I've been meaning to buy this book
About how to stay fit over 50. I'm still ten years away from that, but I think I'd like an instruction manual for my body. I've never really learned all about it.
