My dog now has a cat.
We seem to be the repository of unwanted animals. Living out in the country, I guess that is to be expected. Both are dogs are drop offs.

Anyway, our latest dog Jessie has adopted a white kitten about 6-7 months old. He's all white with green eyes, no other color. At first, Jessie used to chase him away with help of Babe, our other dog. It didn't take long before the cat let them know who was boss. Now Jessie and the cat (I've name him Chetley) snuggle together and the cat lets Jessie lick on him. They have become fast buds.

I'm going to try to get some pictures of them together when it isn't trying to storm.

1. That sounds cuter than cute
My late dog Mick had a Calico female that would rub against him in friendship last year and it was cute.

2. It is funny to watch them together.
They go hunting around the property and just follow each other around. The cat even rolls on his back when Jessie is nuzzling and licking on him like he is totally unafraid of her.

3. Look, ma, it followed me home! Can I keep it?
My mom's dog went out one cold day and came home with a friend too. Sam barked to be let in, but sounded funny, sorta muffled. She opened the door to let him in and his eyes danced a merry smile, tail going 80 and kitten dangling from his soft dog mouth.

That cat and dog became the best pals. She would hook her tiny kitten feet behind his thick ears, hang upside down over his face to scrub on him and get him all clean and bright. When she was done, he would scoop her under his massive head, tuck his chin over her gently and they would make soft humming noises until they fell asleep.

My big dog was crushed when the old cat died. He damned near turned cartwheels when I carried a wee kitten to our car ... oh boy oh boy, I gots me a kitty again...

They do love their pets ;)

7. LOL, Yeah, know what ya mean. We measure the kitten's growth
by the space she takes up next to our dog.

At 10 weeks:

At about 7 months

The dog named her too, Spike. He told us her name by listening to us try and figure what to call her (she is a Tom Boy, killer cat) then he gave her 2 mighty licks, which made her hair stick up! I laughed and asked Havocdad "Is Spike OK with you?" He nodded, the dog wagged his mighty tail and that was that.

9. My dog has a kitty also
In fact she has two.

When her best dog friend died she went into a long mourning phase -- I decided she needed a new buddy. And she takes long walks with her new friend. They travel in the same carrier -- and he brings her grasshoppers because she love the legs.

Her other cat was here when she came -- but he was always the buddy of the dog that raised him.

12. My cat now has a bunny.
A dumped domestic bunny showed up in our yard. We decided to keep him, and he's now a great pal of our youngest kitty. They chase each other around and the kitty bops him lightly on the back. The bunny always comes back for more.

I love inter-species love!

Why can't we all just get along?

14. Dogs & Cats living together......

These two dogs (Buddy and his pup Moe) really took to the twin brothers I found on the side of the road as kittens. I have found them curled up sleeping many times.
