That's about it as far as people. I know my dog would miss me.

14. Thanks, havocmom, I'm touched that you worry, but
I'm doing pretty well...a month into the new regimen of opiates, and the medicine has knocked the Monster back to a bearable level. I'm going with a cycle of six weeks on the hydrocodone and a week off to reset the "tolerance clock" because I know I can stand a week without (you can stand pretty much anything for a week, except maybe getting shot).

How about you? How are things out there in the Wide and Lonely Lands? Any spooky stuff lately, or has that died down?

We're hoping to be able to do a cross-country trip for a vacation next year, and if we do, I'd REALLY like to pay a visit to your town; I like out-of-the way places. Can I buy you lunch if we do?

25. Will do. I assume that means there are no restaurants
out there at The End Of The Road?

Now I want to see the place even more. Yes, I'll let you cook. And tell stories, which I bet would fascinate me.

5. I'm pretty sure it would be
"After a few months, my family might notice I haven't been around for a while."

My family is not particularly close. One sister may cry a few tears, but the one who I was closest to has already passed on.

11. I'm afraid few people will show up at my funeral
I am not even sure where they'll have it. If they have it where I live now, people who know me here. like my coworkers, may or may not show up, but my realtives besides my parents and siblings probably wouldn't drive the distance for something like that. If it is where I was from originally, my relatives will all show up, but probably no one else. I probably should put where I want my funeral and burial to be in a living will, but I am not really sure.

12. Hubby will definitely notice and be sad. Many others, I suspect, will
notice and promptly do the happy dance. I anticipate a large funeral turnout, so folks can make sure I'm really dead and it is not a cruel hoax.

13. Everybody loves you when you're dead
And everyone is suddenly your dearest friend
Nobody talks no dirt about you
But life it just goes on above your head
When you're dead

Everybody miss you when you're gone
They'll reminisce about you
When they hear your favorite song
They'll think that they did something wrong
They'll wonder if there was something they should have said
When you're gone

And I'm never gonna tell a lie
And I'm never gonna wear a tie
And if I can't walk, maybe I can fly
Don't ask the reason why
But I'm never gonna say goodbye
Goodbye

Life is so much better when you're dead
Conversation's easy when there's nothing to be said
But it can get a little lonesome
Maybe you should take along a friend
Like i said...

29. Thanks, Redstone.
Sorry for the late reply, as I just woke up. You and your family have a wonderful day. :)

I'm off to sack groceries from 10 to whenever. I work for the Hotel California grocery store - they're always shorthanded on employees, so once you clock in, you can never leave. I may work a 12 hour shift today - who knows?

Take care,
Lady "F"

16. I'd say a few people would.
But if someone can't see me when I'm alive, why would I care about them remembering me or not? If a person has to wait to see me until I'm laying in a box they mean nothing to me. Just spread my ashes over the Little Wapsie.

19. Oops. Yes, I could have matched the "moaning and weeping"
with "dancing in the streets" and it would have been fairly clever.

I do appreciate the suggestion, but it's too late to edit the poll, dammit.

18. I expect something ghastly, like what the last Pope had.
My corpse being passed around among the masses and wept on and fellated. And then there are the obligatory ritual mass suicides by my most ardent followers before I am sealed inside an elephant carcass, dipped in liquid nitrogen and shattered by Jose Canseco wielding a cheesy replica of the "Excalibur" sword.

30. Yes.
I'm not famous. I'm not rich. My contributions to humanity have all been on a relatively small scale. I do have quite a few people who really love me a lot though, so yes, I will be missed.
