What's the last thought you have before going to sleep at night?

7. DAMN CEILLING FELL!!!
DAMN DOGS!!!

And the magic words to get the canine tag team off my previously sleeping body...."Anyone want to go outside?"

Last thought at night:

Inventory of things I need to place outside the puppy's reach - and did I?....

It's about 10 a.m., and I've been at work for an hour.

15. I wake up wit a nice stretch and a big yawn...
Then I scratch the cat and say real loud so even god can hear me...

I am in love with life.....

Then I really wake up scratch my ass and say oh fuck another day....

Where does it hurt now.....

Then I look at the clock, turn the TV off of the jazz and see how that market is doing....

That's how I tell if the world has gone in the shitter while I slept.....

21. Yep. And "I'm not going to New York."
Before I retired, I was an airline pilot.
In New York.
Commuting from Pensacola.
During all those years, my first waking thought was "When do I have to be in New York?"

It was a tricky commute. My flights usually left at 1:00 a.m.
So I have a flight on the 10th.
But I really have to be there on the afternoon or evening of the 9th.
You'd be surprised how many smart guys showed up a day late because of this.

I was downright paranoid about it.
Kept one calendar in my office and another in the bathroom.
"COMMUTE!" was in big red letters on my travel day.
I never missed a flight.

I had been retired for over six months before my first waking thought wasn't about getting to work.
whew

32. Depends. On work days I usually think "Shit! I'm Late!".
On off days I'll usually think "Ah, I can go back to sleep" and do so. It's always something different at night. Couldn't even answer that one.
