6. ((( hug )))

Maybe you should just relax today and take the time to read, go through old albums and scribble some thoughts.

Also, on Mother's Day (mom died in 1981), I watch really sad movies that make me cry, like Beaches and Steel Magnolias. I get to cry and cry and cry.

It is good to cry and it is good to remember.

:loveya:

11. Don't go back to bed, sweetheart
Lots of hugs :)

Sometimes people come into your life and they give you something special. Joe, Kirsty, Zappa....

And when they are gone and you feel bad about it... that's OK. But just remember the gifts they gave you...

Khash.

25. My dear Khash...
You put this so very eloquently, and simply too....

It just sings to me....

What you've said here is true as well for those loves we've lost, and not by death....

Thank you

31. I think
we are all born with a heart but we give pieces of it away and we get pieces in return. And if we are really lucky and try really hard - we won't have our hearts anymore - the hearts we have will be the hearts of the people we loved and who loved us. And it will burn brightly inside us.

Khash.

13. Here...to remember
Hanging about
Down the market street
I spent a lot of time on my feet
When I saw some passing yabbos
We did chance to speak

I knew how to sing
Y’ know an
They knew how to pose
An’ one of them had a les paul
Heart attack machine

All the young punks
Laugh your life
Cos there ain’t much to cry for
All the young cunts
Live it now
Cos there ain’t much to die for

Everybody wants to bum
A ride on the rock ’n’ roller coaster
And we went out
Got our name in small print on the poster
Of course we got a manager
Though he ain’t the mafia
A contract is a contract
When they get ’em out on yer

You gotta drag yourself to work
Drug yourself to sleep
You’re dead from the neck up
By the middle of the week

Face front you got the future shining
Like a piece of gold
But I swear as we get closer
It look more like a lump of coal
But it’s better than some factory
Now that’s no place to waste your youth
I worked there for a week once
I luckily got the boot

We should party! Play his music, remember the good times he gave us, and celebrate his life and his gift to us, and think of him fondly. Then he'll still be here with us.

30. BTW - Westway is a documentary with small snipets of music.
Westway has some really funny stories that they all tell. Topper told them that he once played with the Temptations, but he really only played for a band that opened for the Temptations :)

If you want full songs (including a kick ass version of Clampdown) I recommend "The Essential Clash" :hi:

Or almost entire anyway, haha.

They showed Westway on Muchmusic up here in Canada once. I only caught part of it, but it seemed cool.
